Responsibilities The individual we are seeking will be responsible for:

  • Designing the analogue portion of the SoC using DFM and DFT principles;
  • Designing analogue circuits at the transistor level that consume very little energy; their topology and RF path floor-plan.
  • The modeling and simulations of same.
  • Creating Lab test plans and assisting Lab personnel in making these measurements: EVM, Gain, Phase, Power, Mask Margin, NF and S-parameters.

  • A can-do attitude in the face of what others might consider impossible RF requirements.
  • A willingness to work closely with an IC layout engineer to translate one’s brilliant RF circuit designs into the limitations and idiosyncrasies of the real world.
  • A willingness to get one’s “hands dirty” in the lab performing lab bench testing and probe testing when your brilliant design comes back from the fab.
  • A willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Have a valid authorization to work in the USA.
Skills/Experience The individual we are seeking will have:

  • A solid understanding of fundamental device physics and circuit design, particularly in the 60GHz frequency
  • An in depth familiarity in the use of these tools: PEX, EMX, Spectre RF and HFSS/EM.
  • Extensive, hands-on circuit design experience in the areas of PAs, VCOs, LNAs, analog baseband, Ser-Des and high speed data converters.
Education Requirements Master’s in Electrical Engineering is required.
PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
