Responsibilities The individual we are seeking will be responsible for:

  • Writing high-speed HW/SW interface specifications
  • Designing
    • in-house reference designs or customer specified designs that include one or more of these high-speed digital interfaces: USB3.0 or higher,  PCIe, HDMI, SDIO/SD card interface, NAND/NOR Flash memory interface, and other yet to be customer specified high speed interfaces
    • Very compact, high-speed interface boards that meet all timing constraints and thermal dissipation requirements
  • Assisting HW-Lab personnel in the board bring-up and debugging process
  • Providing Customer technical support by:
    • Performing QA checks for each customer deliverable
    • Responding to our customers’ technical questions and issues
    • Providing feedback to the Engineering team regarding confirmed, customer identified issues.
  • Providing Production test support by:
    • Creating board level test specifications, plans and procedures
    • Verifying and debugging the ATE system HW and SW used to perform board level tests
    • Reviewing test results and
    • Providing feedback to the Engineering team regarding results of production tests

  • A can-do attitude in the face of what others might consider impossible board size and thermal constraints
  • A willingness to get one’s “hands dirty” in the lab performing board bring-up and debug activities
Skills/Experience The individual we are seeking will have:

  • Demonstrable expertise in the use of CAD tools such as Altium to perform schematic capture and PCB layout for high-speed digital interface boards
  • Demonstrable expertise in the use of a simulation tool to perform timing analysis of high-speed interfaces
  • Demonstrable expertise in the use of electronic test equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers and other analytical tools
  • Demonstrable understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communication systems such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other relevant wireless systems.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the use of a programming language to develop system level test programs
  • At least 3 years HW Design experience
Education Requirements BSEE or MSEE
